James returned the gesture, his arms tightening around his oldest friend unbearably hard before releasing. Sirius looked at him, and looked at him for a long time, as his eyes took in the form he was sure he would never see again. It was James who broke the silence by speaking, a sad smile curving his lips. "As much as I am glad to see you," he began, his eyes meeting Sirius' with solemnity, "I had hoped I wouldn't see you for…well, another couple of years at least."
